TORU 5.5 Decommissioning

Take robot out of operation for a short time

1) Emergency stop button, 2) Key switch

It is possible to switch off the robot for a period of up to two weeks.

Prerequisite:

  • Battery charge level at approx. 50%.

  • The robot is at a standstill and no job is assigned to it.

Execution:

  1. Press the emergency stop button (1).

  2. Turn the key switch (2) to the “Off” position.

  3. Remove the key from the key switch if necessary.

The robot is switched off. If the key is removed, the robot is secured against being switched on again.

Take robot out of service for an indefinite period

Notice!

Prolonged shutdown can lead to deep discharge of the battery.

Charge the battery to 50% regularly.

Prerequisite:

  • Battery charge level at approx. 50%.

  • The robot is at a standstill and no job is assigned to it.

Execution:

  1. Press the emergency stop button (1).

  2. Turn the key switch (2) to the “Off” position.

  3. Remove the key from the key switch if necessary.

  4. Charge the battery for two hours at least every six months (see “Loading robots manually”).

Charging the robot manually

1) TORU 5.5; 2) Charging station

During normal operation, the robot moves to the charging station independently when required. If a robot is switched off, it may be necessary to charge this robot manually to prevent deep discharge of the battery.

Prerequisite:

  • The charging station is free.

Execution:

  1. Carefully pull the robot (1) backwards onto the charging station (2).Note the LEDs on the charging station to determine if the robot is charging (see "Troubleshooting the charging station").

  2. Leave the robot on the charging station.

  3. After charging, carefully push the robot forward from the charging station.Take out the frequency and duration of the manual charging process (see "Taking the robot out of operation for an indefinite period".).

Disposal

Disposal of the robot

For proper disposal of the robot, the applicable legal regulations of the country of use must be observed. In particular, regulations for the disposal of batteries, equipment, electrical and electronic components must be observed.

Disposal of operating materials

Environmentally hazardous substances are generated during cleaning, maintenance, and servicing of the robot. Observe the regulations for the disposal of environmentally hazardous substances.

Improper handling of fats and oils poses a danger to people, animals, and the environment.

  • Do not allow greases and oils to enter the sewage system, soil, or environment.

  • Observe the special disposal regulations for environmentally hazardous substances.
