The screen will switch to a live view that shows the upper laser scan and the current state of the map. The map will be constructed and displayed on the screen as the user drives the robot through the environment.

Mapping features:

  • Save: Saves the recorded map and ends the mapping process after confirmation.

  • Cancel (upper right-hand corner): Cancels the mapping process ((warning) caution: the map will be deleted!).

  • Hide/show (lower left-hand corner): Hide/show live laser data and the path of the robot.

  • Focus robot (lower right-hand corner): Center the robot on the screen.

After pressing “Save”, the current map is transferred to the Fleet Manager.
The name is given automatically and can be changed in the Fleet Manager.

If the area of the map is too small, the map cannot be saved and must first be enlarged.

Errors during mapping

Every error which is related to the robot and the mapping process will show up in the form of a tutorial and needs to be solved to continue mapping.
